Depending on your journey's length, you may want to account for rest stops along the way. A rest stop might mean anything from an hour for lunch and a quick mental break, to an entire, over-night stay somewhere.
No matter the case, Highway Weather gives travelers the ability to add these stops into their journey's plan and observe how stopping for a period of time in one place affects the remainder of their trip.

How adding rest stops affects the rest of your itinerary
As you add a rest stop and increase or decrease its duration, you'll notice the next forecast points in your journey adapt to reflect conditions based on your new arrival times at each point. You can observe this in the below screenshots.
Quick(ish) Stop This stop displays something akin to a lunch stop or extended rest stop a traveler may use to refresh and regroup. |
Overnight Stop Note the time & weather changes for future Forecast Points as time is added / subtracted to stops. |
